Trail Hub is more than just a trailhead — it’s also a stunning venue for weddings and private events. When we host a celebration, we do everything we can to make the day seamless for both the wedding guests and our recreation community. If you’re planning a ride, hike, or disc golf session on a day when we are hosting an event, here’s everything you need to know.

YES! The Trails Are Still Open

Even when there’s a wedding on-site, all hiking, biking, and disc golf trails remain open to the public. You can still come out for a solo ride, meet up with friends, or squeeze in a few laps before dinner.

All trails are accessible directly from the main parking lot, so your outdoor adventure won’t be affected by the event.

Where do you get trail passes? You can grab your day pass just like normal from:

  • The Handlebar Grill trailer (open on select days)
  • The lower level of the chalet/ The bike shop

Make sure to download your favourite app for your chosen activity. Here is a guide:

YES! The Essentials Are Still Open

When there’s a wedding, some areas of the chalet are closed to the public — but you’ll still have access to great food and essential services:

  • The Handlebar Grill trailer usually remains open, depending on the day and timing. It’s your go-to for cold drinks, hot food items, snacks, and post-ride bites.
  • Our Bike Shop stays open! Whether you need a tune-up, e-bike rental, or quick fix, we’ve got you covered during your visit.
  • We make sure our recreation guests are taken care of — the lower level washrooms remain open and accessible throughout the day, even during weddings.

Closed for the Celebration: Chalet Lounge + Patio

To create a beautiful, private experience for wedding guests, the following areas are closed during events:

  • The lounge inside the chalet
  • Part of the grass patio and the lookout view. We still have the picnic area with a lookout view on the West side of the building open.
  • Nest Restaurant, depending on the timing of the wedding (please check ahead for availability or book around your activities if you’re hoping to dine in)

A Few Tips for a Smooth Visit

  • Check our social media or website before heading out to see if a wedding or event is scheduled. We’ll always keep you in the loop.
  • Plan ahead if you’re looking to eat at Nest — weddings may limit restaurant hours, but the Handlebar Grill trailer usually has you covered.
  • Be respectful of signage and event areas — we’ll clearly mark which spaces are reserved for wedding guests, and we appreciate your cooperation in helping everyone have a great experience.

We love being a space where celebration and recreation can happen side-by-side. With a little planning, you can still enjoy the trails, grab a bite, and make the most of your visit — even when there’s a wedding underway.
